I would like to start this by saying Apple users are very committed and loyal to their brand which is good and borderline creepy at the same time (don’t kill me for that, at least till GoT doesn’t end). Coming back to the point, since IOS 10 is on its way with the life-saving ability to deleted the inbuilt apps, here is a list of apps that you can get rid of (yes you can actually survive without them) and allow your iPhone to breathe. Looking at the bright side, one app less is equal to some real time in the world.
Let’s start with good old (outdated) BBM. Why? When there is Whatsapp, Snapchat, Facebook messenger and direct messaging in Instagram, then why would you allow BBM to take all the extra space when there are already other messaging apps. Why take the pain of asking a BBM code just to start a chat when there is already WhatsApp?
2. Facebook Camera
I recently came across an app called Facebook camera on a friend’s iPhone which is a standalone Facebook camera in spite of video calling option in the app itself, but, why not? Whatever happened to good old Skype… oh also there is something called Facetime, remember? Get rid of it immediately and download a grammar correcting app.
Foursquare is an app which will allow your friends to turn into stalkers, yes, basically it allows you and your friends to know about each other’s whereabouts. Take a good look at Instagram and Facebook check-ins and then ask yourself, do I really need this app? Apparently, the purpose of this app is to coordinate and plan dates, the purpose can be achieved even by making a call, trust me that works better.
4. Microsoft Office Apps
Microsoft office apps, I get it, many people need this in their phones for official purpose but it has been reported that these office apps drain a lot of battery and take up a great amount of space. You must spare your iPhone from such apps. If you are a business person always on the go who needs these documents, in that case, get your i-pad out, it’s as convenient as your i-phone 7 plus.
Photosynth is a great app for professional photographers and creative artists in a similar profession, but if aren’t one, then this app is of no use. The basic purpose of the app is to combine a series of photographs together to form one interactive image. Like the 1000’s of selfies in the phone desperately waiting to be displayed are not taking enough space that you need another app which you will probably get bored of. If you want to keep the app, it’s fine but then you will have to cut short your selfie quota. Now the choice is yours.
If you don’t believe in the conventional apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and Instagram, it’s totally fine. Go ahead and download all these apps listed.
